25,000 ENJOY HOPE ST FESTIVAL
The Festival of Hope 2008 finished with a spectacular day on Hope Street in Liverpool. It was a day when God provided great weather and hordes of people turned out to take part in this fun day. Hope Street throbbed with Gospel Music from one end to the other, the Metropolitan Cathedral steps were a major attraction with dance featuring there, and the Anglican Cathedral was the launch pad for a colourful pageant that snaked through the streets at the start of the day. The parade included many large creations, all with Christian symbolism. One church carried a giant fish created by weeks of dedicated sewing. Another had a large helium filled dove. Giant puppets were another feature.
