John Wesley famously said, “Nothing happens except by prayer”. At an early stage it was recognised that prayer was most important in seeing a wholesale change in the society to which we have been called. Before the devil’s domain can be plundered, the battle has to be won in prayer.
TFH has a prayer team that meets monthly in the Liverpool Lighthouse in Anfield, to pray for the major strategic issues that we face in seeking to work towards harvest and transformation in the region.
TFH also seeks to encourage the prayers of the saints. This is the bedrock on which
all other forms of prayer is built. There are three areas where grass-
1. Through the Merseyfest Prayer Tour, leading up to the Festival of Hope 2008.
2. Through the monthly prayer bulletin currently emailed or posted to several hundred people in the region and beyond. Email the TFH Office to subscribe to this.
3. Through the Week of Prayer, planned this year for 4th to 11th June 2008. This involves the provision of resources to help people pray for their neighbourhoods. Last year’s resources can be accessed from the download page.
